6TH GRADE SCIENCE CAMP ON CATALINA ISLAND
October 3rd – October 6th, 2017
Thurston Middle School students will have the opportunity to visit the Mountain and Science Academy (MSA) on Catalina Island this fall and have an incredible hands-on science experience. MSA is located at Emerald Bay Cove, one of the top 10 snorkeling spots in the world. Each student will get a hands-on educational experience as they snorkel the beautiful waters, and explore the renowned Pennington Marine Science Center, the Plankton Lab, fish aquariums, and the Shark touch tank.
Sponsorships and Financial Assistance:
Principal Salberg strives for ALL 6th graders to attend camp. There are limited funds available for partial scholarships only. If you are able to donate and help send a student to camp, we thank you in advance and appreciate your generosity. Please contact Sarah Pearlman for a Scholarship Application.

NOTE: Any medications that you think your child might need on the trip (aspirin, sea sickness meds, cough meds- REQUIRE A DOCTOR to fill out our medication form before the deadline September 15th. For more information call the Health Clerk at 949-497-7785. Thank you!
