PAL Peer Assistance Leadership Program

TOW PAL® Peer Assistance Leadership Training Program

The PAL® Peer Assistance Leadership Program is a statewide peer-to-peer outreach program for elementary, intermediate, and high school students. The PAL® Program teaches life skills and builds resiliency and other assets in students.

PAL® students will help the school and may participate in:

New Student Orientation                               Community Service
Peer Tutoring                                                        School Service
Conflict Resolution                                         Awards Recognition
PAL camp                                                    Big Buddy/mentoring

The program is available for interested 4th and 5th grade students. Interested students should complete an application, solicit teacher recommendations and will need to participate in an interview process before being accepted into the program for training.

Students must participate in 8 weeks of training and attend regular meetings to become an official PAL member. Training is held after school from 2:20-3:20 on Thursdays during the second trimester from January through March. Students will receive a certificate of completion for training and TOW PAL t-shirts to wear when helping the school.
